Jonathan Leon Skero, 52, of Conroe, Texas, went to be with Lord Monday, July 4, 2022, after a hard-fought battle with cancer. He was born March 12, 1970, in Houston, Texas, Jon is survived by his loving sons, Brandon and Colton Skero; grandmother Veleria Goodrum; father Larry Skero Sr and wife Sandra; siblings Larry Skero Jr and wife Kari, Nathan Skero, Amy Vaughn and husband Eddy, Daron Skero and wife Katie; 25 nieces and nephews; fellow church members at First Baptist Church of Groceville; and many other loving relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Annette Skero; grandmother Lois Skero; and grandfather Leon Goodrum. Jon was a father who devoted his life to making decisions that would best benefit his boys. He used his skills as a floor contractor and professional trader to serve families across the North Houston area. Whether it was meeting someone new or hanging out with family and friends, Jon shared his love of God by leaving a reputation of honesty and integrity.
