How it all started...
Grace Covenant Baptist Church was planted by Pastor Larry Skero, Jr on February 7, 2010. Services were first held in the Kingwood, Texas YMCA basketball courts as they searched for a permanent home.
God blessed the ministry as the church was growing during the time there. They eventually found a piece of land on Ford Road in Porter, Texas to build a church home for the ministry.

Laying the Foundation...
On June 23, 2016, the foundation was laid down for the ministry and for the new church home on Ford Road in Porter, Texas. God is truly the foundation and cornerstone of the ministry of GCBC.
Pastor Larry planted a bible in the foundation at the beginning of the construction. GCBC members were critical in construction of the building.

Hurricane Harvey and GCBC...
Services were still being held at the Kingwood YMCA when Hurricane Harvey hit the Houston area on August 27, 2017. The floods had an impact on the services at the YMCA and the ministry had to move to the new location on Ford Road, while the finishing touches were being put together.
GCBC Today
GCBC continues to keep the same biblical teachings that was started when it was first built. There are few new ventures in the works for the future to bring glory to God. If you are looking for a church that loves God, loves to serve, and help us grow, we believe that GCBC could be your home.
