Devotional Day 1 - Bringing In The Harvest

In this passage, Jesus declares that all authority in heaven and on earth belongs to Him, then commissions His followers to go and make disciples of all nations.

𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥:

Before Jesus gave the command, He established the foundation: all authority is His. That means the Great Commission is not a burden carried in human strength. It is a calling backed by the full power of the risen King. The disciples who gathered on that mountain were not all certain. Some doubted. Yet Jesus did not disqualify them. He sent them anyway. This is deeply encouraging. God does not wait for perfect confidence before He calls. He calls, and His authority becomes the confidence. Today, consider whether you have been waiting to feel ready before stepping into the mission. The command was not given to the qualified. It was given to the called.

𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: In what area of your life have you been waiting to feel more prepared before sharing the gospel with someone?

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Write down the name of one person in your life who does not yet know Christ. Commit to praying for that person by name every day this week.
