Devotional Day 1: From Worm to Wing — The Reality of Regeneration

𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥: Regeneration is not a gradual improvement of your old self — it is a complete transformation by the power of God. The passage in 1 Peter calls believers to prepare their minds for action and to refuse conformity to former patterns of living. Before Christ, you were shaped by ignorance and inherited sin. But the same God who called you is holy, and He calls you toward holiness. This is not a standard you achieve by willpower. It is a work the Spirit performs in you as you yield to truth. The cocoon is not comfortable, but what emerges is glorious.

𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: What former patterns of thinking or behavior are you still trying to carry into your walk with God? What would it look like to lay them down today?

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Identify one habit or mindset that predates your faith and that the Spirit has been convicting you about. Write it down. Confess it. Ask God specifically to replace it with something that reflects His character.
