Devotional Day 2: Reproving, Rebuking, and Exhorting With Patience

𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥: God uses different instruments to shape His people. Sometimes He corrects gently. Sometimes He rebukes sharply. Sometimes He simply cheers you forward. The wisdom of a faithful pastor, parent, or teacher lies in knowing which approach a person needs in a given moment. Proverbs 27 reminds us that wounds from a friend are trustworthy. The goal of every correction is never to crush the spirit but to restore the soul. Reflect today on whether you have allowed pride to cause you to resist necessary correction. Invite God to use whatever instrument He chooses to conform you to the image of Christ.
