Devotional Day 4: Building Yourself Up in the Faith

𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹:

You cannot give what you do not have. Jude does not only call believers outward toward others. He calls them inward first, to build themselves up in the most holy faith, to pray in the Holy Spirit, and to keep themselves in the love of God. Contending for the faith begins with cultivating the faith. A soldier who neglects his training becomes a liability on the battlefield. The believer who neglects the Word, prayer, and fellowship becomes spiritually thin precisely when the moment demands spiritual strength. Daily discipline in the hidden life produces daily readiness in the visible one. Tend your roots and the fruit will follow.

𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: What does your current pattern of prayer and Scripture engagement honestly look like? Is it producing depth or thinning you out?

𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Set aside a specific, uninterrupted time each day this week for prayer and Scripture reading. Treat it with the same non-negotiable commitment you would give to any other essential daily responsibility.
