God calls us to add virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness, and love to our faith. This isn't earning salvation; it's developing what salvation has planted within you. Like spiritual muscles, these graces strengthen through use. When you lack these qualities, you become spiritually nearsighted, forgetting the transformative work Christ accomplished in you. The danger isn't losing salvation but living beneath your spiritual inheritance. Diligence matters. Work hard to develop what God has deposited in you. Don't settle for spiritual infancy when maturity awaits. Each virtue builds upon the previous one, creating a life that bears abundant fruit. Today, identify one grace to intentionally exercise, trusting God's power to develop it.
