Let's Examine Ourselves With Truth
What does it truly mean to examine ourselves with honesty and courage? This message takes us on a searching journey inward, using the life and character of Christ as the mirror against which we measure our own hearts. Drawing from Proverbs 4:23, we are reminded that the heart is not merely a physical organ but the deep, eternal seat of our motives, beliefs, decisions, and worldview. When we fail to guard that inner life, sin finds its entry point and works its way outward through our words, our hands, our feet, and our eyes. The fruit of the Spirit described in Galatians 5 is not an external standard imposed on us from outside but a living reality already dwelling within every genuine follower of Christ. The challenge laid before us is to stop suppressing that reality and start letting it shape how we actually live. We are invited to sit with the uncomfortable truth that hidden sins of the heart, whether covetousness, self-righteousness, or malice, do not stay hidden forever. They manifest. They damage. And they reveal what we have or have not allowed God to transform. This is not a message designed to condemn but to awaken us to the ongoing work of sanctification that God calls every one of us to embrace with urgency and humility.
