A Godly Man's Behavior

Jun 21, 2026    Pastor Larry Skero Jr

A godly man’s behavior is not defined by perfection, but by a consistent posture of reverence, responsibility, and repentance before a holy God. In Job 1:1–5, we meet a man whose integrity is not situational but steady—one who fears God, turns from evil, leads his home with spiritual intentionality, and intercedes for his family with a heart tuned to heaven. And in Job 42:2–6, after walking through suffering deeper than he could have imagined, we see that same man humbled, surrendered, and transformed, confessing the greatness of God and the smallness of his own understanding. Together, these passages reveal a powerful truth: a godly man is marked by devotion in prosperity and humility in adversity, anchored by a character that seeks God first, trusts Him most, and responds to Him faithfully in every season.
