The Character Of A Christ Follower

Jun 7, 2026    Pastor Craig Koen

The character of a Christ follower is most clearly revealed not in moments of comfort, but in the way we respond to the people around us—especially when relationships get complicated. In Romans 12:14–16, Paul paints a picture of a life transformed by the mercy of God, a life that blesses instead of retaliates, empathizes instead of isolates, and pursues harmony instead of pride. These verses show that Christlike character is deeply practical: it shapes our reactions, our attitudes, and even the posture of our hearts toward both friends and enemies. As we step into this passage, we discover that following Jesus means reflecting His humility, His compassion, and His willingness to enter the lives of others with grace.
