Seeking The Good In Others

The call to seek the good in others isn’t a soft suggestion—it’s a radical shift in perspective that only the gospel can produce. In 1 Corinthians 1:26–31, Paul reminds the church that none of us stand where we stand because of our own brilliance, strength, or pedigree. We are who we are because God chose us, redeemed us, and is shaping us through Christ. When we remember that every believer is a living testimony of God’s grace, it becomes impossible to look at others with arrogance or dismissal. Instead, we begin to see the good that God is cultivating in them—their calling, their growth, their story of grace. As we step into this passage, we discover that seeking the good in others is not just kindness; it’s Christlike vision.
